This report displays a table of expected reductions in cost if
turnovers and delays were to be reduced incrementally from their current
value to 0 min. A graph of the average turnover time between cases by hour
of the day is displayed, along with the percent contribution that each
hourly turnover makes to the overall turnover time.
Cost and Productivity Analysis
This report displays a quantitative assessment of the cost
of not staffing and scheduling cases based on maximizing OR efficiency. The
percentage reduction in staffed hours and expected increase in productivity
is calculated. This analysis can be used by anesthesia groups seeking to
negotiate subsidy arrangements with their hospitals to recover the group's
excess expenses due to decision-making not being made based on OR
efficiency.This analysis can be used by hospitals seeking to determine the
expected financial impact of implementing changes to OR allocation and case
scheduling.
